Description

Unlike most other Aeons, you do not get to control Yojimbo's attacks. He is a sword-for-hire, and you will have to pay him Gil for each attack you want him to prefer.

Which attack he will use depends on several things; mainly how much Gil you have given him and how well your relationship with the Aeon is. The latter is determinated by how much you use him in battles and how often he wins or loses them.

You must beat him in a battle before you reach his inner sanctuary. Here, you must negotiate for his fee. The best - and cheapest - way of doing this is to choose the option "To defeat the most powerful of enemies" when asked. For your first bid, offer half his asking price plus 1 Gil. So, if he asks for 250,000 Gil, offer 125,001 Gil. After his next offer, raise your bid by 1 Gil. By the time he proposes 205,000 Gil, he will generally accept offers below 200,000 Gil, though not much lower.

If you offer him at least thrice the amount he asks for, he will reward you with two Teleport Spheres in addition to his services.

Unique Attack: Daigoro, Kozuka, Wakizashi, Zanmato

Daigoro - his loyal dog attacks one enemy.

Kozuka - Yojimbo deals attack to an enemies MP by the use of short-bladed knifes.

Wakizashi - A powerful sword attack that can hurt either one or multiple foes depending on the variables used to determine which attack he uses.

Zanmato - A deadly attack that cuts the enemy in half. It can be used towards all enemies (including bosses) and will always lead to an instant kill.


Overdrive: N/A

This Aeon does not have an Overdrive technique. However, it is still worth charging his Overdrive Gauge as it, when fully charged, boosts the likelyhood that Yojimbo will use a powerful attack such as Zanmato.
